Pondering God's Amazingness
Current mood:Ponderousness=]
Category: Friends

As i was driving home today..many random thoughts came to mind as they often do=]

i was thinking about what God has been doing in my life as well as the
lives of some of my friends... how seeing His hand in things has been
so evident right now!!

i started thinking about how in the past 7 months or so God has really
taught me the importance of being myself. Not to worry so much about
what others think... My close friends know that the band Family Force 5
had a lot to do with that! They also know there is one young man in
particular that has really changed the way i look at things.

My thoughts drifted to how i was able to share my entire testimony with
this friend back in December ... i don't share the whole thing with
many people. But this guy, who i now consider a very dear friend made
me feel comfortable enough to share it with him. i wrote back to him
and told him "thank you".... this was his response:

"thanks for the email, I am glad you were able to open up with your
testimony to me, I think when you show people your flaws first they
aren't as afraid as you judging them.
because you are showing that you aren't perfect nor do you think you
are, so people seem to want to open up to that, because when people try
to seem perfect and don't understand grace, they get judgmental."

Most people open up to me easily so i hope that means they understand
that it is never my intention to be judgmental. i have no right...
no one does. i have def been shown much grace and desire to have an
attitude of grace with others.

This young guy who is 22 has impacted my life with his blogs.(now he's 23)

His honesty and sincerity in his blogs and the times he has corresponded with me has taught me so much.

What he said in the above quote is so very true.

He also has helped me to find the awe and wonder of God's creation. Of
course i know it's amazing but he makes me really think about it...
often when i would think of God's majesty the following things would
come to mind... mountains, oceans, and redwoods. The lightning reminds
me of His power! But thanks to this friend, i now see the majesty of
God in the tiniest of micro organisms, ladybugs, and bees.

Each thing God has created has a purpose... big and small. Now i ponder
those things. Now as i drive home and see the grass, i think about how
many blades of grass there are. How many leaves are on each tree? i
have no idea, but you know what? God does... if He cares about those
things... then how much more does He care about you?

i feel my thoughts have been all over the place but these are things i have been pondering lately.

One more thing... if you have ever gotten a message from me then you are probably familiar with this...

"God amazes me... may i never cease to be amazed!!"

That quote was inspired by that young man... often when i wrote him i would say....
You never cease to amaze me!
Well i realized that God was using this young man to amaze me. So that is where the quote originated from.

i am so thankful God uses people to amaze me every day!

God amazes me... may i never cease to be amazed!!
big hugs and high 5's!!
your friend,
:)kimberly
